An Anambra State- based human rights group, International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law ( Intersociety) has bemoaned the killing of a police Inspector, and setting ablaze of police patrol van during the recent clash between the police and members of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra ( IPOB) at Nnewi, the Anambra State industrial-cum-commercial town.
Lamenting that the incident exposed how ill equipped and inefficient Nigeria police is, the human rights group, chided the police for resorting to arresting innocent traders in the area after being overwhelmed by their attackers.
