FCTA Warns Schools Against Operating Without Licence — Leadership Newspaper

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has warned that henceforth, no school in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) should be allowed to operate before registration with the relevant agencies of the education secretariat.

In a communiqué issued at the end of a two-day retreat organised for management committee of the education secretariat, at the weekend, the administration also charged the department of policy, planning, research and statistics to produce the cost of training of a child in the FCT.

The communiqué, which was signed and made available by the assistant director (information), Tony Ogunleye, suggested an early budgeting cycle  with full  involvement  of the department of policy, planning, research and statistics, as well as school heads in the budgeting process.

The committee also advised boards and departments, in charge of students’ admission, to devise means of ensuring that only children within the approved age…
