Man Docked Over Alleged N995,000 Fraud In Osun — Leadership Newspaper

48-year-old Ishola Dickson was on Monday docked at an Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court in Osun State over alleged N995,000 fraud.

Dickson who agreed to be tried in the court however pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of fraud and stealing preferred against him.

The Prosecutor, Emmanuel Abdullahi, an Inspector of Police told the court that the accused person committed the offence sometimes in Oct, 2014 at Omisore junction, Ile-Ife.

Abdullahi said that the accused fraudulently obtained the sum of N995,000 from one Johnson Friday under the pretence of buying a Picnic car for him and fraudulently converted the money to his personal use.

According to him, the offence contravened sections 390 (9) and 419 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.

The Defence Counsel, Mr Samuel Obi, applied for the bail of his client in liberal term with the assurance that Dickson would not jump bail, but would produce reliable sureties.
