900,165 PVCs Yet To Be Collected In Ogun

Barely 30 days to the commencement of 2019 general elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has cried out over the 900, 000 Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) yet to be collected in Ogun state.

Towards ensuring that no one is disenfranchised in the forthcoming general elections, INEC has however, recruited the services of traditional rulers in the state to prevail on their subjects to go out and pick their PVCs.

INEC’s National Commissioner in charge of Lagos/Ogun/Oyo, Dr. Adekunle Ladipo Ogunmola who spoke at the forum held in Abeokuta with traditional rulers said the commission still has 900,165 uncollected PVCs at its disposal.

Ogunmola also allayed the fear being nursed in some quarters over usage of card readers in the forthcoming general elections, dismissing the claim that the card reader has been enhanced to re-capture voters’ fingerprints.
