Traditional rulers and political leaders of Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State have lauded Governor Seriake Dickson for keeping to his promise of linking the area with other parts of the state with a road, forty years after the road was first proposed.

They also rated him high as the only Governor in the state that break the 40years old jinx of linking the Ekeremor town with the rest of the state with the 1hour 30minutes road project in the state.

The leaders stated this in Ekeremor Town, headquarters of the council area during a civic reception held in honour of the governor on his two days working visit to the local government council headquarters on project inspections.

Speaking at the occasion, the political leader of Ekeremor, Chief Thompson Okorotie, said the governor has disgraced those who felt that roads cannot be constructed in area, stressing that the people were sentimental about the feat as it was a dream came true for the people of the area.
