Nigerian Envoy To Cote d’Ivoire, Isah, Dies At 59 — Leadership Newspaper

The Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, Ibrahim Isah, has died at the age of 59.

Ambassador Isah, a career diplomat, was accredited in 2017 and passed on yesterday in Abidjan, after a protracted illness. A press statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed that Isah, was born in 1959 and hailed from Niger State. The statement added that, “Isah joined the Nigerian Foreign Service in 1983.

“During his career, the late ambassador served in different capacities both at the headquarters and in our missions.

“He served at the Nigerian High Commission in Sierra Leone, Consulate-General in New York, Jeddah and Embassy in China.”

The statement added that Isah was the Chargé d’Affaires of the Nigerian Embassy in Ankara, Turkey until his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary/Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire in 2017.
