Maku Commends Voters For Peaceful Conduct, Urges INEC, Security To Be Neutral — Leadership Newspaper

Labaran Maku, Nasarawa State Governorship Candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has commended the electorate for conducting themselves peacefully during the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state.

Maku gave the commendation on Saturday at Wakama Clinic Polling Unit of Nassarawa-Eggon Local Government Area after casting his vote at 12:06 p.m.

“So far in this area, the process has been peaceful and there is no reported malfunction of card readers as at 12 p.m.

“So, I pray that the process would be peaceful across the state,” Maku added.

He, however, called for the arrest and prosecution of any staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) who compromised the process.

“If there is over voting in any polling unit, the INEC staff presiding over the election in such unit should be arrested and prosecuted.
