The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the area council polls, conducted in Bwari, Kuje and Kwali area councils inconclusive, due to some hitches experienced in some polling units during the elections.

INEC returning officer for Bwari area council, Prof. Wesley Nafarda, who announced this at the collation centre in Bwari yesterday, explained that the results of 17 polling units, including all the 12 polling units at Kawu ward were also cancelled.

Nafarda added that the commission also cancelled the result of two other polling units at Dakwa and Public Place, in Kubwa ward, in addition to another polling unit at Gidan Bawa, in Dutsen Alhaji ward and one polling unit at Primary School in Igu ward.

He revealed that the total number of registered voters in the council is 224,737, while the accredited voters is 44250, and valid votes is 42,291, just as rejected votes is 1,137, with a total cast at 42,428, adding that the difference between the highest…
