Adekuoroye Now 4th In Latest UWW Ranking — Leadership Newspaper

Two- time commonwealth champion, Odunayo Adekuoroye has placed Nigeria on the global wrestling radar after setting a new personal record for the country and herself as she is now ranked 4th in the latest women’s -57kg wrestling class rankings released by United World Wrestling (UWW) after her impressive performance at last month’s German Grand Prix and Bulgarian Open.

According to the latest rankings, China’s Ningning Rong is topping the women’s -57kg while Bilyana Dudova of Bulgaria and Grace Bullen of Norway are in second and third spot respectively.

In her reaction, the German Prix champion couldn’t hold back her joy of being among the top ranked wrestlers in the world.

She, however, attributed the feat to the President of Nigeria Wrestling Federation (NWF), Daniel Igali, her coach, Purity Akuh, training partners and her pastor, Daniel Olukoya.
