Centre for Water and Environment Development (CWED) has sensitized the pupils of Karji LGEA primary school in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State on the importance of water.
Speaking on the importance of water both to human and animals, the CWED Program Manager, Shanni Doris Zakama said, the sensitization was part of activities which marked the celebration of this years Water day with the theme, ” Leaving no one behind”.
She emphasised that billions of people today live without safe and portable water and stress the need to address such gap in order to meet the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) to provide safe water for all by the year 2030.
The program manager urged the pupils to always use clean water to safeguard themselves against all forms of diseases such as malaria, cholera etc.
