Abuja Pakistanis Cricket Club inflicted Abuja Indians CC’s first defeat at the Iris Smart Technologies Abuja Cricket League to breathe new life into their title chase with a two wickets victory at the Package B of the Abuja National Stadium’s cricket oval, yesterday.

The Abuja Indians now trail the Pakistanis with two points after three matches thanks to Pushkar 46 runs and Saad Butt’s man of the match displayed.

The teams had won their previous two league matches and were looking at who would be at the top of the league’s points table at the end of week three of the league.

Abuja Indians CC won the toss and elected to bat at 18.3 overs, but they only managed to score 128/8 in 20 overs.

In the second inning, the Abuja Pakistanis came in to chase 128 runs and needed to score 129 runs to win. At the end of 20 overs, they batted 130 for the loss of wickets, thus won the match by 2 wickets.
