As part of efforts to urgently respond to the education needs of children affected by the conflict in the Northeast, the European Commission’s Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid department (ECHO) is funding a two-year project in Gwoza, Pulka and Dikwa Local Government Areas of Borno state.
The project, which is being implemented by Plan International Nigeria, is targeting at least 37,000 children in the region.
According to Plan International Nigeria, the project is aimed at responding to the urgent education and protection needs of children and adolescent boys and girls affected by the conflict in Northeast Nigeria. Adding that the overall objective of the project is to ensure that girls and boys have increased access to quality formal and non-formal learning opportunities and live in a protective environment in Borno State.
