Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi on Sunday extoled members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) over the role they played in the conduct of 2019 general elections, saying the scheme is a formidable instrument of national development.
Fayemi who posited that the NYSC scheme was a force to reckon with in Nigeria’s democratic governance said contributions of the corps members to the success of the recently concluded general elections cannot be overemphasized.
He spoke at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Ise-Orun/Emure Ekiti during the official opening and swearing-in ceremony of the 2019 Batch ‘A’ corps members deployed to the state at the weekend.
The governor who was represented at the event by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Biodun Oyebanji urged the corps members to take advantage of the opportunity the orientation course afford them and eschew all forms of anti social behaviours as they serve their father land.
