Court Remands 2 For Allegedly Stealing Phone — Leadership Newspaper

An Osun Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ile-Ife on Monday remanded Ajayi Oluwasegun and Olayioye Ayomide in prison custody for allegedly stealing phones.

The duo aged 20 each after agreeing to be tried in the court pleaded not guilty to the five-count charge of conspiracy, illegal entrance, stealing and breaking.

The Prosecutor, Insp Ona Glory, told the court that the accused committed the offence on April 4, 2019 around 2:20 pm at Oke-Olahire 1, Modakeke, Osun State.

Glory said that the accused conspired with one another to commit felony to wit: stealing.

He added that the accused entered into the room of one Akinmerin Florence with intent to commit felony.

According to him, the accused persons stole one Laptop, one Item handset, one techno handset with cash sum of N4,000,  total valued N106,000, property of Akinmerin Florence.

Glory said that they also stole one infinix phone, one laptop charger and cash sum of N3,000, total valued N47,000, property of one…
