Teen Star, Mya-Lecia Naylor Dies At 16 — Leadership Newspaper

Family members and shocked co-stars paid tribute to children’s television star Mya-Lecia Naylor today after news emerged of the actress’s tragic death aged 16.

The BBC announced in a post on their CBBC children’s website that Mya-Lecia (main picture) had died on April 7. The cause of death was not revealed.

Mya-Lecia won a host of young fans with roles on shows including Almost Never (left) and Millie Inbetween, but her first role was on Absolutely Fabulous aged just one, as Saffy’s daughter Jane (top right).

She also appeared on-screen alongside Tom Hanks and Halle Berry in the 2012 film Cloud Atlas (bottom right with Hanks).

Almost Never co-star and ex-I’m A Celebrity star Emily Atack paid tribute to the youngster on Instagram (inset). She wrote: ‘So shocked and sad to hear about lovely Mya-Lecia Naylor.

She was a beautiful and talented girl.
