The destruction of her wares went viral on social media and help came to her from unexpected quarters. Nigeria’s economy is in dire strait. The country is the poverty capital of the world. There are more people unemployed than those working.
The rate of unemployment is the highest in recent memories and it is climbing as industries and commercial ventures close down or downsize for a variety of reasons including lack of power, poor infrastructural facilities, poor finances, over taxations, and inconsistent government policies.
