Kano state commissioner for rural development, Dr Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, has claimed that he was instrumental to luring former governor of Kano state now Senator Rabiu Musa Kawankwaso into politics despite his defiant stance against it.
Illiyasu told newsmen in Kano yesterday, said that he deserved to be described as Senator Kwankwaso’s political mentor.
The commissioner who went down memory lane on how he succeeded in wooing Senator Kwankwaso into politics , said that he struggled hard to convince him to reason along that line until he later took the painful decision of leaving active service and joined partisan politics.
“The time I was actively involved in partisan politics in Madobi local government area and as the youth leader, I had a say on how everything was going politically and when I brought Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso many people in our locality did not know him”.
