Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, has charged staff of the newly commissioned Aso Television, to develop content that would promote the developmental agenda.
Speaking during the inauguration of the television, as well as the ultra modern Aso Radio studio in Abuja, Bello noted that the FCT more than ever, needs its institutions to bridge the gaps on issues that tend to divide the people, and help to build a strong, virile and stable society.
He recalled that one of the dispositions of his administration on assumption almost four years ago is the repositioning of broadcasting station and make it more relevant and worthwhile for residents of the FCT.
The minister explained that the journey for the establishment of the television station began earlier in 2004, when the license was obtained, with broadcast set to begin in 2007, which, which according to him could not be met due to a number of factors.
