Gov Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has pledged to consolidate as well as strengthen and upscale his administration wealth creation progmamme in his second term by focusing on how to liberate the spirit of enterprise in the people through skills acquisitions.
In an address after taking the ought of office for a second term in Asaba, governor Okowa said his administration will pay priority attention to youth employment through entrepreneur skills by stablishing additional 19 new technical colleges in the state.
He explained that the new entrepreneurship training programme of STEP and YAGEP will be escalated and identified gaps corrected, to make it more robust and cost efficient, noting that his target is to double the number of graduate trainees in the scheme.
