Buni To Declare Education Emergency In Yobe

Yobe State governor, Hon Mai Mala Buni, has promised to provide healthcare centre in each of the 178 wards in the 17 local government areas across the state. He also promised to declare a state of emergency on both primary and secondary education in the state.

The governor, who disclosed this after he was sworn-in as governor at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Damaturu, Yobe State capital, said the decision was to consolidate on the solid foundation laid by his predecessor, Ibrahim Gaidam.

He also promised to provide tractors to farmers at the beginning of every rainy season in the state and to promote farming in the 17 local government areas across the state. He also promised to complete roads inherited from the outgoing administration and construct new ones in Gujba/Ngalda, Tikau- Jajere; Dogo kuka Jajere; and Yusufari Machina, among others.
