The Nigerian Navy has commissioned three multi-million naira school and church projects in Cross River and neigbouring Rivers State.
The projects which is part of activity to mark the Navy’s week celebration that coincided with the NN’s 64th anniversary includes, renovation of a two hundred capacity Boys Hostel in Akpabuyoin Cross River State and the renovation of NOP Ikuru Protestant church, and the renovation of Saidu Girls Hostels, Navy Secondary school Bokokiri in Rivers State.
Speaking in Calabar, shortly after commissioning the the 200 capacity Boys Hostel in Akpabyo,Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command, Rear Admiral David Adeniran stated that with the renovation of the Hostel, students of the institution can afford to have a conducive learning environment.
To take care of the spiritual needs of its personnel, the Eastern Naval Command also commissioned the NOP Ikuru Protestant church,remodeled Otiko and the renovated Saidu Girls hostels at the Navy Secondary school…
