Group Faults Proposed Disciplinary Action Against Ministers, Others

A non governmental organisation (NGO), Association for Public Policy Analysis (APPA) has taken a swipe at a recent circular from the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) on approved disciplinary procedure against chief executive officers of federal government parastatals, agencies and departments.

According to the association, the circular, if implemented would inflict serious negative consequences on the nation’s privatised power sector, gag ministers of the president from implementing policies designed to enable them to deliver their electoral promises as well as create permanent secretaries cabal that would deny the majority of the citizenry, the benefits of governance at the expense of few under performing chief executive officers.
