Why I dropped Masters Degree In Criminology For Music, Fricky J, Calabar-born Music Sensation

A Calabar-born rising Nigerian musician Nniga Ernest Joe-Chim, popularly known as Fricky J, currently based in Dubai, has spoken on the reason he dropped his B.Sc degree in Political Science, and M.Sc degree in Criminology for Music.

Fricky J, the Calabar music sensation, who started his music career in 2008, but attained recognition in 2012, after dropping his monster hit single “Calabar Girls,” said said his drive to invest in his talents pushed him to do music which he derives pleasure in.

He had completed his higher studies at Tansian University in Umuahia, Anambra State, where he bagged his first degree in Political Science, and later a M.Sc in Criminology from University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka, Lagos.

“With a degree in Political Science and M.Sc in Criminology, one won’t imagine that a person with such admirable qualifications would choose Music, but I decided to go against all odds to pursue a career in music and I’m currently enjoying my progress in the music…
