Aircraft pilots, represented by the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE), have urged the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) to continue its intervention efforts aimed at ensuring the survival of Arik Air. During a courtesy visit to AMCON in Abuja, NAAPE members, led by Engineer Mudi Muhammad, expressed their support for AMCON’s activities and investments in Arik Air, emphasizing the need for the corporation to persevere in its efforts.
They noted that despite negative narratives that may mislead the public about the challenges faced by Arik Air before AMCON’s intervention, NAAPE recognized the significant contributions made by AMCON to the stability of Arik Air, the broader financial system, and asset management in Nigeria. They stressed that continuing AMCON’s involvement is the only viable option to ensure Arik Air’s survival.
