A pregnant woman has reportedly been killed by unknown persons in Orin, a community in Ido/Osi local government area of Ekiti state. There are conflicting reports to the assailants that killed the deceased. While residents of the area who spoke to the Cable claim the Fulani herdsmen stormed the farm of the deceased, the state governor, Ayo Fayose's media aide, Lere Olayinka, says the attack is believed to have been carried out by armed robbers.
“The woman was eight-month pregnant. The herdsmen shot her inside her farm,” a source told TheCable.
