A young man was hit by a stray bullet today during a raid in Edo state.
Lawyer, Jefferson Uwoghiren, who shared the story, stated that the raid was conducted by police officers of the Special Anti Robbery Squad, Edo State Command.
This young man, Dennis Amadasun was rushed to my office early this morning, a victim of gunshot by careless and negligent police officers attached to the Special Anti Robbery Squad, Edo State Command.
Dennis was shot and wounded around 2:00am in his house in Ugbiyokho Area of Benin when the police stormed the house allegedly in search of internet fraudsters!!! Bleeding and weak from the injury, Dennis was abandoned and left to die by the officers.
His angry relatives brought him to my office,whereupon I advised that the matter be reported at the nearest police station.
