Cameroonian househelp, Leudjoe Koyemen Joel, who stabbed his boss, Dayo Adeleke, to death at her home in Parkview estate in Lagos state on December 20th 2016, has been sentenced to death.
Joel stabbed 33-year-old Dayo who was at the time engaged and preparing for her wedding. His grouse was that she refused to grant him the 2-weeks salary advance he requested for. Read story here.
Delivering judgement in the case today May 21st, Justice Adedayo Akintoye ruled that Joel is guilty and is to die by hanging.
