Eight suspected cultists linked to a clash at a hotel in Itire area of Lagos state have been arrested by the Lagos state police. The clash occurred after a heated argument ensued between members of Eiye and Aiye Confraternity at the drinking joint of Chukwuma hotel. The hotel was set ablaze by the cultists as a rival gang member identified as Aliu Lamidi died after being stabbed on the neck by the owner of the facility. The fire was eventually put out after the police were called in. Lagos Police spokesperson, DSP Bala Elkana said security has been beefed up in the affected area. He added that the arrested suspects will be charged to court after investigation has been concluded.
