Two goat thieves arrested in Jigawa

The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested two suspects for allegedly stealing two goats valued at N50,000 in Kazaure Local Government Area of the state. 



Spokesperson of the command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday, September 22, 2023, said the suspects, Ibrahim Alhassan and Bashir Babangida, were arrested following a report by one Fatima Aminu that her goats had been stolen. 


“On 18/9/2023, one Fatima Aminu ‘f’ 42yrs of Kanti Gaba’s quarters Kazaure LGA, reported that on 17/9/23 at about 1100hrs she discovered that unknown thieves stole her two goats valued at fifty thousand naira (N50,000.00k),” the statement read.


“On receipt of the report, detectives attached to Kazaure Police station acted on credible information and arrested one Ibrahim Alhassan ‘m’ 20yrs and Bashir Babangida ‘m’ 19yrs all of Ganguli quarters Kazaure LGA, who conspired, stole the said goats, and transported them to Danbatta Market, Danbatta LGA, Kano state…
