MTN Foundation Continues Support For Youth Development

The Vice President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, The Vice Chancellor of The University of Lagos (UNILAG), Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, The Registrar of The University of Lagos (UNILAG), Dr (Mrs.) Taiwo F. Ipaye and The Executive Secretary MTN Nigeria Foundation, Nonny Ugboma at the Student Innovation Challenge 2018 which held in UNILAG recently.

Over four months, the Student Innovation Challenge, with the support of MTN Foundation, has seen about 2100 applications from undergraduate students of accredited Nigerian universities and polytechnics, proffer solutions in various sub sectors and industries in the economy ranging from agriculture, power to waste management.

The Lagos finals included a week long boot camp and a demo day. The boot camp exposed about 40 students to mentorship and a series of assessment classes which would help them start and grow their enterprise successfully.
