The EFCC has asked the Federal High Court Abuja to proceed with the ongoing trial of former PDP Spokesman, Olisa Metuh in his absence.

Counsel to the EFCC, Mr Sylvanus Tahir, made the request in an application at the resumed trial following Metuh’s lawyer’s application that the matter could not go on since Metuh was not in court.

===Brent Crude Oil rose above 80 dollars per barrel as President Muhammadu Buhari issues a 3-day ultimatum to the NNPC and DPR to recover 1.305bn dollars in Crude oil royalties from Neconde Energy Limited.

A breakdown of the amount shows that a sum of 450m dollars was the outstanding of Crude oil royalties owed by the Neconde since 2005 and an additional sum of 834m dollars being the mandatory levy payable for renewal of an operating licence on oil mining lease.
