Kashamu: Expelled from PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the expulsion of senator Buruji Kashamu, a senator representing Ogun East.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, said on Monday after the emergency meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) in Abuja.

Ologbondiyan three other PDP members in the state were also expelled.

Also expelled from party in Ogun,according to him, were Semiu Sodipo, Bayonne Adebayo and Segun Sheriki.

Ologbondiyan explained that the disciplinary action was taken against the members who he said were hobnobbing with the ruling party and whose actions had become unacceptable to the PDP.

He warned that with the way PDP had been exposition, it would not accept untoward behaviour from members of the party.

He said that the party has also set up committee to consider the possibility of changing the party’s name ahead of 2019 general elections.
