The Indian High Commission in Abuja has commemorated the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and World Hindi Day.
The annual event is observed to celebrate the contributions of Indians in the diaspora to the development of their home country and host nations and the return of Mahatma Gandhi from South Africa to Mumbai on Jan. 9, 1915.
