Foundation begins congregational prayer, marriage counselling in Abuja

Nurul Yaqeen Islamic Foundation, an Islamic organisation, on Friday begun Jumma’at prayers at Kafe Districts, Abuja, with a view to promote the teachings and ideals of Islam in the FCT.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the two raka’at Jumma ‘at prayer which was led by the Sheikh Tajudeen Bello, Chairman of FCT League of Imams, was attended by thousands of Muslims within and outside the district.

The cleric while delivering his sermon, titled “The Significance of Mosque (Masjid)”, noted that mosques occupied a significant position in Islam which any Muslim could readily testify.

Bello, who stated that building mosques was one of the easiest ways of getting a house in paradise, urged Muslims to invest heavily on building mosques.

He also said that donating a mosque was an ongoing charity which continues even after a person dies and his or her book of deeds are closed.
