Gov. Willie Obiano has approved Hepatitis screening for an estimated 6.18 million Anambra population, the state Commissioner for Health, Dr Josephat Akabuike, said on Friday.
Akabuike said this during a news briefing to mark the 2017 World Hepatitis Day in Awka.
He said that the screening was already included in the state health insurance scheme and was billed to commence before the end of this fiscal year.
According to him, the screening will be done at all government health facilities across the state.
