A United Kingdom sponsored non governmental organization known as “Save Children” has disbursed goats and chickens as an empowerment packages to over 1, 250 pregnant women and lactate mothers in three local government area of Jigawa state.
The empowerment package given to the pregnant women and lactating mothers is part of save Children intervention toward improving child nutrition in the state.
