Man butchers father, mother and two sisters to death in Yobe

A 28-year old man, Adamu Mai Bisco, from Potsikum Local Government Area of Yobe State, on Monday night, killed his father, mother and two sisters.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, ASP Toyin Gbadegesin, explained that the victims were murdered in their sleep.
He also added that the suspect was under the influence of hard drugs.
Another version of the story said his parents had threatened to report him to security agents for allegedly being a member of the Boko Haram sect.
“I gathered that his parents said they will report him to security agents that he is a member of Boko Haram. He did not take that threat lightly and decided to kill them while they were all asleep,” a source told some journalists.
The PPRO said the offence is punishable under Section 221 of the Penal Code.
Bisco was alleged to be under the influence of marijuana, and tramol capsules. Without any provocation as the victims were fast asleep, the suspect picked up a shovel attacked and killed his father, mother and two sisters.
The incident took place at about 1am.
“Upon the receipt of a distress call, the police moved in and arrested the suspect, recovered the exhibit and the suspect is still being
interrogated. Interim investigation revealed that he is a drug addict as he confessed to have consumed illicit drugs.
“The bodies of the victims have been taken to the hospital and the uspect would be charged to court.”
