All Progressives Congress, APC, gubernatorial candidate in Edo state, Engr. Chris Ogienmoyi has boasted that as a brand, his name will attract both local and foreign investors to the state when he becomes governor.
Ogiemnoyi, a one time Minister of State for Works in the last administration, disclosed this recently when he came to pick his interest and nomination forms at the party’s national secretariat over the weekend.
“I have worked all my life for this nation. I joined the NNPC as a young man and worked for 34 years. I left as executive director, upstream. I gave this country the local content product which the country is benefiting from. I left NNPC unblemished and was celebrated. People will bring their money to Edo state because my name is a brand.
“You ask me why I want to be governor in Edo state. I must admit that the outgoing governor, Adams Oshiomhole has established a foundation, but today you need a governor who can build seriously on those foundations. I have the courage to do what is right, once I am convinced I get it done” Ogiemnoyi said.
He said if elected, he will rebuild the Gelegele seaport situated in Edo south through public private partnership.
