The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained former governor of the Adamawa state Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
The Federal High Court in Abuja has remanded Fintiri till Friday, July 1, 2016. He is being prosecuted by the EFCC over accusations of fraud and money laundering. Justice Ahmed Mohammed made the order after the ex-governor pleaded not guilty to all the five counts on June 30.
