General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Church, Rev W. F. Kumuyi has said that this time would be a time of real moving forward for the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, and Nigeria. He disclosed this in Abuja during a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev. Tor Uja.
According to a press statement by the Commission’s spokesperson, Celestine Ogugua, Kumuyi described the appointment of Rev. Tor Uja as the Executive Secretary of NCPC “as God’s own appointment” maintaining that NCPC would move forward under his leadership, especially, as he has articulated his plan to reshape and reposition Christian pilgrimage in Nigeria.
Pastor Kumuyi also challenged Christians who go on pilgrimage to come back as change agents for the country.
Earlier, the Executive Secretary who thanked his guest for finding time to visit the Commission in spite of his busy schedule, further described the visit as a “rare privilege from a man of God of pastor Kumuyi’s calibre”.
Tor described him as the father of faith who introduced the first real spiritual revolution in Nigeria and stressed that his revolution had affected all parts of the Church in Nigeria.
He described the founder of Deeper Life Church as a very consistent Church leader who is currently on a nationwide trail.
Rev. Uja who intimated that he was carrying out a road map of pilgrimage in Nigeria, explained that for Christian pilgrimage to be “worth the while, we need fathers of the lord like you”.
He therefore called on Pastor Kumuyi to help and support the Commission in its effort to change the face of Christian pilgrimage in Nigeria explaining that one of his goals in NCPC would be to make the Commission a blessing to the entire nation.
