The U.S, has won its 1,000th Olympic gold medal at the Rio Games. The country reached the milestone when the American women’s 4×100 meter medley relay team clinched victory. The honour of the victory was shared by Kathleen Baker, Lilly King, Dana Vollmer and Simone Manuel, who got to the wall first ahead of Australia.
