The Nigerian Navy on Wednesday in Abuja said the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Adm. Usman Jibril, has no Facebook account.
This information is conveyed in a statement issued by Commodore Kabir Aliyu, Director of Naval Information.
The statement said the navy had observed increase in the use of the portrait of the CNS on facebook and other social media platforms by some unscrupulous members of the society to perpetrate illegal and demeaning acts.
It said the navy had taken adequate measures to track, investigate and persecute such person or persons accordingly.
