•Oba Akiolu of Lagos: appeals to Igbo citizens to swing votes for AmbodeThe paramount ruler of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu has appealed to Igbo residents in the state to vote for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.
The Oba made the appeal on Sunday when he met with Igbo leaders in his palace.
He urged them to swing their votes to the APC because he personally chose the governorship candidate of the party. It was believed that Igbo residents of Lagos, voted unanimously for the Peoples Democratic Party in the 28 March elections.
