Gov. Ngilari disowns police over curfew announcement

Adamawa Government on Saturday denied imposing a dusk to dawn curfew in the state as announced by the Police Commissioner, Mr Gabriel Adaji.
NAN reports that Adaji announced the clampdown on Friday, saying that the curfew would take effect from Sunday, April 12 to Tuesday, April 14.
According to the police, the curfew is to prevent wild celebrations and harrassment of citizens after the announcement of election results.
In a swift reaction, however, Gov. Bala Ngilari said the state government had no knowledged of the curfew.
