Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state: re-electedGovernor Ibikunle Amosun of the All Progressives Congress,APC has been officially declared the winner of the governorship election in Ogun State.
The Returning Collating Officer in the State,Prof.Duro Oni made the announcement in Abeokuta today, declaring that Amosun polled the highest votes among the candidates of the 16 political parties which participated in the election.
The APC candidate scored 306,988 votes while the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP candidate Gboyega Isiaka polled 201,440 votes.
The total registered voters in the state was put at 1759754 while 599,486 people were accredited to vote.
