As part of preparations for the commencement of the eighth session of the Lagos State House of Assembly, the 40 members-elect of the House have begun a one-week induction exercise.
The exercise is holding in Abuja and would last between Monday and Friday.
Twenty new members are joining the House with 20 old members. The new members would be taking over from lawmakers who lost at their party primaries and during the general elections.
The eighth Assembly which commences in June would have eight members from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The House is expected to resume plenary after the induction exercise.
