Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Saturday visited the scene of a petrol tanker explosion which consumed 34 houses and 70 shops at Idimu area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, lamenting the magnitude of the disaster.
A tanker, loaded with 33,000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) fell on the road and spilled its contents at Idimu area of the state, wrecking serious havoc.
Decrying the extent of damage, Ambode said he would convene an emergency meeting with stakeholders in the oil industry to address frequent tanker menace.
