A medical practitioner, Dr Adeotun Agbe-Davies, on Saturday urged the public to imbibe the culture of voluntary blood donation to save more lives.
Agbe-Davies, who is the Chairman, Lagos State Blood Transfusion Committee (LSBTC), made the call at a media briefing to commemorate the World Blood Donor Day in Lagos.
World Blood Donor Day is held annually on June 14 to encourage voluntary blood donation across the world. The theme of this year’s celebration is: “Thank You for Saving My Life, Give Freely, Give often, Blood Donation Matters.”
