Agege monarch tasks Ambode on road rehabilitation

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State
Olu of Agege, Oba Kamila Oyedeji Isiba, has appealed to the Lagos State Governor, Akiwunmi Ambode, to rehabilitate all roads in and around Agege.
Isiba made this known while addressing journalists in his palace at Agege. The Agege traditional ruler said most of the roads leading to Agege Local Council Development Area were bad and needed urgent attention.
“There are some roads that the immediate former Governor of Lagos State, Raji Fashola, approved but he did not complete, so we are using this medium to plead with the present government led by Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode to continue where his predecessor stopped,” he said.
Isiba commended Fashola for his achievements in Lagos and promised to assist the incumbent governor fulfil his promises to the residents of Agege.
Commenting on the election of one of his subjects, Mudashiru Obasa, as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, the monarch expressed his joy and urged members of the Assembly to give him the needed support to move the state forward.
“It was good news for the people of Agege that one of our legislators emerged the Speaker of the state House of Assembly. I have congratulated him and discussed the needs of residents of Agege with him and I am sure that he is going to deliver,” he said.
On the Agege carnival scheduled for December, Isiba urged the youth to work hard and use the carnival to promote peace and unity among the ethnic groups in Agege.
