Unknown assailants have allegedly hacked a yet-to-identified man to death, along Reliance junction on Aduwawa road, in Ikpoba Okha local government area of Edo state.
It was gathered that the victim was attacked in the early hours of Friday by the assailants who stabbed him in the stomach and left him to bleed to death.
The corpse of the man who was said to be in his early 30s allegedly caused a stir in the area before it was removed by police officers who later visited the scene.
“I was going to work at about 8:00 am when I saw the corpse of a man on the expressway, close to the NTA office in Aduwawa. It was really shocking because his stomach was open. I think it is related to cultism because even his wristwatch was still on him,” a source volunteered.
Edo Police Command Spokesman, DSP Stephen Onwochei, who also confirmed the report, said the Command had commenced investigation.
“What we have on ground is a homicide case. Whether it is cult related, it is investigation that will reveal it. The motive behind the killing is what the investigation will confirm,” he said. …Read More
